Clinical Magnet (part of ICON Medical) is hiring a Physical Therapist for a full-time, permanent opportunity with a leading community hospital in Hickory, North Carolina. Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist evaluates patients and develops individualized treatment plans to maximize functional mobility and independence. This role focuses on restoring function, preventing disability, and promoting overall wellness through evidence-based interventions. The PT will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and supervise support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy services
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and modify interventions as needed
- Promote prevention, wellness, and health education initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and non-licensed personnel
- Assist with weekend acute care coverage on a rotating basis
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Active North Carolina PT license (or compact state license)
- BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
Position Overview:
- Schedule: Flexible - 4 or 5 days per week
- Weekend Rotation: Approximately 1 in every 5-6 weekends (with a day off before and after worked weekend)
- Setting: Outpatient setting
- Compensation: $36.86 - $58.98/hour (based on experience)
