Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist patients in recovering mobility, strength, and function directly within their home environments following surgery, acute illness, or injury.
- Implement individualized physical therapy interventions (e.g., therapeutic exercises, functional training, and safety modifications) under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Assist in monitoring patient progress and response to treatment within the home, providing regular feedback to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Safely instruct patients and their caregivers on the use of assistive devices, personalized home exercise programs, and fall-prevention safety precautions.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
- Completion of an accredited PTA program
- Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification within the state of practice
- New graduates are encouraged to apply!
