Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities
- Oversees the nursing staff and overall nursing operations of ambulatory center
- Use sound management principles to organize, plan, coordinate and control the flow of patients, activities/services, personnel, and utilization of resources.
- Develops, monitors, and communicates staffing schedules, and makes daily adjustments as necessary.
- Responsible for preparation and oversight of the clinical staffing operating budget.
- Provides adequate levels of staff to ensure safe and effective nursing care.
- Resolves conflicts, mediates, and ensures compliance with policies by employees and physicians
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associates degree in nursing required, a bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Current, active, unencumbered RN licensure.
- 2 years Nursing Management experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
- ACLS or successful completion of ACLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation based on experience, starting at $140,000 yearly
