Clinical Magnet, a division of ICON Medical Network, is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant for a full-time, onsite opportunity in New Hyde Park, New York. This role supports core accounting functions including month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management within a high-growth organization.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting
- Manage prepaid expense schedules and recognition of expenses
- Oversee fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
- Perform daily banking activities including reconciliations and transaction monitoring
- Assist with accounts payable and credit card processing
- Support month-end close process including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow efficiencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial data needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2+ years of accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Experience with general ledger, AP, banking, and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Excel required
- Experience with accounting systems (Sage Intacct a plus)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fixed assets and prepaid expense accounting
- Exposure to multi-site or healthcare organization accounting
- Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) for workflow efficiency is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
